Writer’s Block

I hold a pen in my hand,

Hoping to write something grand.

But the words don’t come,

Feels like my brain is numb.

Even though my mind betrays,

The need to write doesn’t go away.

The words fight back with equal might,

Making it all so difficult to write.

But something inside me burns,

Struggling to find the right words.

And something stands in the way,

A block that causes delay.

The thoughts and ideas are still there,

Bursting out to declare.

But something holds me back,

I look for the light but there is only black.

Now I am looking for words that could portray,

My strife with writer’s block today.

  1. This is called mind block when it is over occupied with other worldly matters. This automatically passes off and creative thoughts start talking a shape
